What is the Passenger Agency Conference (PAConf)?

• The Passenger Agency Conference is composed of senior managers drawn from all Member Airlines of IATA. The Conference takes action on matters relating to the relationships between Members and Passenger Sales Agents and other intermediaries but excluding remuneration levels. PAConf performs its functions under the authority granted it by the IATA Annual General Meeting.

What is the PAConf responsible for?

• PAConf is responsible for the IATA Passenger Agency Programme, namely the establishment of global passenger distribution standards. Certain functions may be delegated to task-oriented sub-groups reporting to it.

What is the Agency Programme?

• The IATA Passenger Agency Programme is as old as IATA itself and offers a unique range of services to the industry. The Agency Programme provides Members and other scheduled Airlines with a cost-effective global distribution network, affording them access to their chosen markets through professional, financially sound travel agents.
  
  The PAConf adopts Resolutions by unanimous vote which upon receipt of approval from concerned governments, become binding upon all IATA Member Airlines and their appointed agents.
  
  The programmes are global with regional and country differences and benefits the airlines, agents and consumers.

Can I attend the PAConf?

• Only Member Airline appointed Accredited Representatives, their alternates and observers can attend the PAConf.

How do I become a member of the PAConf?

• Complete and return the Change of Alternative Accredited Representative Contact Details and depending on your requirements Accreditation of Representative - Application Form or Appointment of Alternate Representative Application Form.pdf
• How often is there a PAConf?
• Members of the PAConf meet regularly once a year but special meetings can be called at short notice to deal with issues requiring immediate attention.

Due to the sensitivity of some materials posted on the PAConf website, some documents have needed to be posted on a 'members' page. This page is available to all existing PAConf Accredited Representatives or Alternates, who are invited to register their details in order to be granted access.
