IATA works with Member airlines and other organisations with a wide mix of cultures. We do business in over 115 countries. We have over 80 nationalities represented in IATA and offices in more than 70 countries.
To provide dynamic, international leadership for IATA, the Intercultural Leadership Engagement and Development (I-LEAD) Programme was launched to build cultural awareness between traditional IATA groups in Europe and the Americas with the regions of growth in Africa, Middle-East and Asia-Pacific, particularly China and India.
I-LEAD features cross-culturally paired change agents leading local teams in IATA’s offices around the globe.
The programme has three main goals:
- Drive the Business - implementation of local initiatives with near term benefits.
- Develop Leaders - at all levels, involving people from Director level down to Assistants and Customer Service Representatives.
- Build the culture - developing intercultural awareness between East and West and fostering effective cross-cultural work by overcoming differences.
